    Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

    The Contracting Authority intends to establish a single-party framework agreement for the supply, delivery and installation of an automated real-time PCR solution for the detection of enteric pathogens directly from faecal samples. The laboratory currently processes approximately 3,000 tests for Salmonella / Shigella / Campylobacter / VTEC and 4,000 tests for Cl.difficile faecal samples per annum. The required solution will be procured on a ‘price per reportable test’ basis.

    This competition concerns the establishment of a single-party framework agreement for the supply, delivery and installation of an automated real-time PCR solution for the detection of enteric pathogens directly from faecal samples. The framework agreement will have a maximum potential duration of four years; however, for the avoidance of doubt, the duration of individual contracts may extend beyond the expiry of the framework agreement.
