    Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

    An Post provides its staff with canteen facilities on two of its’ sites in Dublin; the GPO O’Connell Street, Dublin 1 and the Dublin Mails Centre, Oak Road, Dublin 12. An Post wish to enter into a contract with a single supplier for the provision of catering services for both sites. The successful applicant will be responsible for the following services:-

    • Catering services at the GPO during office hours, Monday - Friday

    • Catering services at Dublin Mails Centre with shift patterns, seven days a week

    • Vending services on An Post sites nationwide

    • Hospitality services in both sites

    In addition to the above services, the successful applicant may be required to provide cafe services consisting of beverages, scones, biscuits etc., in the planed visitor attraction, Witness to History Interpretive Exhibition Centre. This is due to open by Easter 2016 and will form a centerpiece of the 1916 commemorations.

    It is anticipated that the contract will commence in quarter 2 2015 for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 1 or 2 more years.

Suppliers who are interested in the contract must register with www.etenders.gov.ie and must express their interest in the contract and submit responses on the website.
