Provision of Stress Free Temperature (SFT) Measurement Services

Iarnrod Eireann (IE) is seeking expressions of interest from suitable companies to carry out in track, non destructive, non intrusive measurements to determine the Stress Free Temperature (SFT) on continuous welded rail (CWR) track sections at selected locations on the IE network.
The method of measurement must provide high output with accurate results. The method of measurement and proposed equipment must be beyond the trial stage and have been successfully used on other EU railways. The proposed equipment must be weather resistant and suitable for both day and night works. Interested candidates are required to submit a written expression of interest (EoI) directly to sinead.leonard@irishrail.ie. The EoI must be supported by testimonials to demonstrate the successful use on other EU Railways.
It is intended to establish a four year contract for the provision of these services. The contract will cover any requirements that IE may have during this period.
A grouping if successful must be prepared to have joint and several liability with the members of the group.

A notice will be published for the renewal of this contract shortly before the end of the 48 month contract period.
