he works consist of alterations, restoration and refurbishment of an existing building (c.965m2) and construction of an extension to the rear (c.550m2) to provide a new locker block facility in Cathal Brugha Barracks. Works in the existing building include underpinning; breaking out/blocking up opes; new ground floor slab; repairs to stone walls, roof timber, original windows and doors, lime render, lath and plaster ceilings; mechanical and electrical installations; new lime render; new finishes, fittings and fixtures. Works to the new extension include traditional structure, completions, mechanical and electrical installations, finishes, fittings and fixtures. Site works include drainage, incoming services, paths and pavings.
