UL0385 - Supply and Delivery of Pianos to the University of Limerick

The Irish World Academy requires to develop its provision of pianos in the perfromance spaces of the Academy. Theatre One of the Academy currently has a full sized Steinway piano donated by the Michael Flatley Foundation. The Academy wishes to improve the provision of a piano in its second performance space, Theatre Two, so a similar standard. This piano will have to be sufficient for performance, curricular and research use to the highest level of international standards. The Irish World Academy requires to develop its provision of pianos in teaching, rehearsal and practice rooms for their curricular and research use. These instruments would have to be of sufficient quality for practice to professional performance standards. These pianos would have to meet standards necessary for undergraduate and postgraduate keyboard students, composers and practice based researchers. They will also have to be of an adequate standard for professional artists who may engage the Irish World Academy as artists in residence and visiting faculty / tutors.
