011-03-337 - MMU 2015 IT Consultancy Support and Hosting of MMU IT Systems

The Commission for Energy Regulation (‘the CER’) and the Northern Ireland Authority for Utility Regulation (‘Utility Regulator), collectively ‘the Regulatory Authorities (RAs)’, worked together to deliver the Single Electricity Market (‘SEM’) which commenced operation on 1st November 2007. The Market Monitoring Unit (MMU) is located within the Utility Regulator offices in Belfast. Its key role is to monitor the Single Electricity Market (SEM) on the Island of Ireland. The RAs now invites tenders for IT Consultancy Support for Upgrade of SEM Market Monitoring Unit IT Systems. The key task for the successful bidder will be to provide IT development services in the form of SQL database expertise, hosting of the database on supplier hardware and a Service level Agreement (SLA) to provide MMU staff with user support and helpdesk facilities. The successful tenderer will be in place by 1st February 2015 with the database and tools to be developed by 1st April 2016. The existing system will be kept operational on site at current supplier location until handover of replacement system.
