Castlebar Post Office Restoration and Conversion to Youth Centre

Tenders are now invited from experienced main works contractors to

 

restore the former Castlebar Post Office and to convert this structure for use as a Community Youth centre.

 

 

The minimum annual turnover required of the main works contractor is

 

 

€650,000.00.

 

 

This tender competition will operate under ‘Open Procedures’ and will incorporate a two stage assessment process as follows:

Stage (i) Suitability Assessment Procedure (Main Works Contractor) – Pass / Fail.

 

 

-

 

 

Stage (ii) Subject to a Tenderer being successful at stage (i), the tenderer shall move to be assessed in accordance with a stage (ii) tender assessment i.e. the contract, if awarded, shall be awarded on the basis of the Most Economically Advantageous Tender submitted (M.E.A.T).

 

 

The awarded contract will be subject to:

 

 

 

• The conditions of the public contract PW/CF5 Minor Building & Civil Engineering Works Contract designed by the Employer.

 

 

 

• Volume ‘A, The works requirements.

 

 

 

• Volume ‘B’, The form of Tender & Schedule.

 

 

 

• Volume ‘C, The bill of Quantities

 

 

 

Performance bond

 

 

 

 

 

Response to tender queries should they arise.

 

 

 

Mayo County Council does not bind itself to accept the Tender with the lowest stated Tender Total or any Tender, and will not pay compensation whatsoever in connection therewith. The contract, if awarded, shall be awarded on the basis of the M.E.A.T - Most Economically Advantageous Tender returned.

Tenders must be submitted to Mr. John Condon (County Secretary), Room 12 – Corporate Affairs, Áras An Chontae, the Mall, Castlebar, Co. Mayo in a sealed envelope endorsed
