Sign Cleaning - Provision of Cleaning Services for Road Traffic Signs 2015-2017

Dublin City Council request tenders from competent service providers for the ‘Provision of Cleaning Services for Road Traffic Signs’ Contract. The Contract will be awarded to a single Service Provider. The Contract involve the cleaning of approximately 50,500 road traffic sign, post, signal control box, push button units, illuminated bollards, and reflective bollards. All the items are located on roads/streets within the administrative area of Dublin City Council. The cleaning operation will involve hand wash using an approved detergent and then wiping clean dry. The tenderer is requested to quote an average price per sign clean, rather than a separate price for each type/size sign. The cleaning Programme will be agreed with the Traffic Officer, but in general, the items in list 1 will be cleaned twice as often as items in list 2. The frequency of cleaning will depend on the rate agreed in the contract and the available funding, which for 2014 was approximately 50,000 Euros. During the the contract period the successful Tenderer will be required to submit weekly whereabouts notice by email to traffic officer, and invoice monthly giving details of location, number & description of items cleaned. Dublin City Council will award the contract for 2 years (“The Term”).
