DLR Design Gallery - Provision of Design and Craft Retail Concession Contract for Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Design Gallery

DLRCC is seeking an experienced operator who will be prepared to provide a high-quality, bespoke, design and craft retail service on a commercial concession licence basis, at no cost to DLRCC. There are a number of key criteria for the design and craft retail service: 1. To offer a distinctive high-quality, design and craft service to visitors, tourists, guests and users of the dlr Design Gallery. 2. To further develop the national and international reputation of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown as a centre of excellence for craft and design. 3. To enhance the overall image and reputation of DLRCC and of the dlr Design Gallery as a quality design and craft retail experience 4. To add value to and enrich the experience of visitors to the dlr Design Gallery. 5. As a minimum the service must be provided at no charge to DLRCC. 6. To provide a fast and flexible, high-quality customer service that responds in a very efficient manner to meeting the very dynamic and varied requirements of users, visitors and guests including overseas tourists. Additional design and craft retail service objectives are as follows: • To offer a consistently high standard of quality design and craft products and customer service that meets or exceeds expectations and enhances the overall experience of using or visiting the dlr Design Gallery. • To encourage a high level of footfall to the dlr Design Gallery to maximise sales potential to be invested in further enhancing the retail experience; providing an optimum balance between financial contribution and high quality service to the customer. • To provide a safe, hygienic and efficient service at all times. The Licensee will be required to prepare a detailed plan to provide service options and fit-out of the retail area which at present is “core and shell” fit-out. The cost of the retail fit-out will be borne by DLRCC.
