LK 03-15 - Bord na Móna Financial Shared Services: Document Scanning Software Solution/ Managed Service

Bord na Móna has embarked on a Transformation Programme which will fundamentally change the current ways of working within the Finance and Supply Chain functions across the Bord na Móna business. A project has been established to design and implement a Finance model based on Shared Services and Business Partnering, utilising Oracle eBS version 12.1.3 as the ERP solution, together with a Supply Chain Project, also underpinned by the Oracle eBS version 12.1.3. A reporting framework has also been developed, with the selection of a Business Intelligence (BI) tool completed. The objective of the Project is to create an effective Operating Model, incorporating industry best practice that effectively supports Bord na Móna in achieving its strategic objectives. It is the intention of the Financial Shared Services centre to minimise the amount of paper in operation and to utilise a scanning solution. This PQQ is seeking submissions from interested parties in the provision of the scanning solution which may be provided via: • on premise/ hosted software solution, • via managed service, or • a hybrid of both options. The specific process areas of focus for the scanning solution relates to the Purchase to Pay and Order to Cash functions, with the ability to expand to other business functions in future phases. It is expected that the overall solution will be designed, built and tested as part of the delivery for the first deployment wave scheduled for September 1 2015.
