Tender for the Inspection of Playgrounds.

In keeping with Dublin City Council’s (DCC) Play Policy, Park Services undertakes regular inspections of it’s playgrounds to ensure that they meet the highest quality and maintenance standards at all times. As part of this quality control policy and in accordance with best practice it is now proposed that all playgrounds, located in public parks and open spaces, will be inspected once yearly by an independent company qualified in playground inspection. Dublin City Council proposes to award the contract initially on a once off basis to a company experienced in this area to undertake the playground inspections in Q1 2015. The tender includes the inspection of all playgrounds under the responsibility of Parks Services, Dublin City Council. There are fifty one playgrounds in total, of varying sizes, located throughout the City Council’s administrative area, primarily in public parks but also in public open spaces. It is estimated that the inspections will take approximately 3 months to complete. Please see the tender documents for further information including details and maps of the playgrounds.
