BREIFNE EXTENSION - Demolition of existing PE Hall to the side of existing school and the construction of a new 4800m2 stand-alone extension to the same location and associated ancillary site development works.

Development will consist of: Demolition and removal of existing school sports hall & changing rooms (975 m2), temporary classroom accommodation, storage structures, walls, steps, fences, roads and site landscaping features including several trees adjacent to the front boundary; Relocation of existing electricity pole and associated infrastructure; Earthworks throughout the site; Construction of a new 3 storey school building (4800 m2) incorporating 26 classrooms, staff offices, PE Hall, changing facilities, gym and associated ancillary accommodation (includes a Special Needs Unit); New ESB sub-station and gas tank. New site & landscaping works throughout including a new tiered courtyard between existing and new school buildings, paths, roads, new drop off points for cars and buses, parking for 110 cars and 8 buses, and realignment of the front boundary with new front boundary wall and grass verge. The works include a new on-site traffic layout with the addition of a new entrance point to the north-east of the site and the retention of the existing entrance providing an in/out traffic flow. Also included is a temporary builder’s entrance during the construction works.
