ENQEIR425 - Guarantees of Origin (GO) Online Registry

This project is for the development of an online system for generating and tracking guarantees of origin certificates (GO). This project will aim to:  Deliver a user friendly online registry for generating and tracking GO certificates.  Provide a solution that is scalable over time to provide for an increase in registrations in the GO scheme and an increase in the number of GO certificates issued, transferred, imported and exported.  Provide an online registry (interface) that could be connected to a European Trading platform in the future (e.g. AIB Hub)  Improve the administration of GO scheme processes, thereby reducing workload for both SEMO (Single Electricity Market Operator) and participants of the GO scheme.  Will increase transparency to participants, allowing for greater ownership and participation for users.  Support the overall EirGrid mission ‘to provide quality, efficient…market services…’ and Organisational Capability ‘ensuring our information systems are robust and appropriate for our business’.
