Slane National School - Proposed Replacement of Existing Flat Roofs at St. Patrick’s National School, Collon Road, Slane, County Meath.

The project comprises the replacement of existing flat roofs. The contract drawings show the extent of the work which includes:- 1. Removal and disposal of all existing loose stone chippings, insulation, rainwater gutters, rainwater downpipes, fascias and soffits. The replacement flat roof build up will comprise a polygum primer bonded to the existing asphalt roof covering, amending falls as required, bond 110mm TR27 insulation (achieves a U-value of 0.21 W/m²K) to the primer and fully bond with torch Polygum Quadra Rock followed by Polygum Hi-Tec prevent mineral surfaced cap sheet. This replacement flat roof must provide a minimum twenty-year insurance backed guarantee. 2. Other ancillary works will include perimeter details , hopperheads, angle fillet, turning up underlayer and cap sheet; working around existing windows, replacement cox dome roof light, downpipes etc and all other works listed in the tender documents. 3. Electrical, Telecom, Alarm and lighting alterations are the responsibility of the main Contractor. The latter will engage suitably qualified domestic sub- contractors who are capable of design and installation of the above services. 4. The Main Contractor will be appointed as Project Supervisor (Construction Stage) in Health and Safety matters. 5. All other works necessary for the proper completion of the project whether or not expressly stated in the contract documents
