SWS 2014 Mechanical Upgrade - Summer Works 2014 Mechanical Services Upgrade

The project involves a Heating Upgrade to New Inn Boys National School which will involve a full strip out and upgrade of the Heating Centre to replace the boiler, burner, and flue and provide new high efficiency boiler / burner with header pipework, circulation pumps valves etc. A full controls upgrade to include zone controls, weather compensation, frost protection and a remote monitoring and control system in the teacher’s staff room complete with boost facility for out of hours use. A full strip out and upgrade/replacement of the existing single pipe heating distribution system and radiators with a new two pipe mild steel zoned distribution heating system and high output convector radiators. A partial upgrade of the water services to include a new format 30 sectional tank and replacement of undersink electric water heaters. All associated electrical installations to include power supplies to new plant and equipment and all controls wiring and containment and new lighting in the attic and boiler house. Provision of safe attic access via Stira type attic ladder and attic walkways. All associated builders work and redecoration to match existing school finishes The heating upgrade works are to be completed strictly in compliance with the Department’s Technical Guidance Documents TDG 002 & TGD030.
