JCF14004 ISC1 Roof - Roof Upgrade Project at Block 1, International Science Centre, National Technology Park, Limerick

Shannon Development now wishes to commence major upgrade works to the existing roof at the International Science Centre Block 1 building. The roof of the building is a flat roof covered with a single ply PVC membrane, on insulation, on a vapour barrier, on metal deck supported on a steel structure. The roof consists of two separate roofed areas connected by a glazed central atrium make up of a series of double glazed sloped areas running the length of the building. The roof required on going maintenance during 2013 to maintain its water tightness. Shannon Development strategy is to upgrade the roof covering of the International Science Centre Block 1 roof in the second quarter of 2014.
