Total replacement of existing pipework within original school to comply with current guidelines with new panel radiator and controls. Existing boiler retained.The existing space heating installation was installed when the school was  built in 1973. Extensions were built in the late 1970’s and again in 2009 & 2012, a t wo piped system in accordance with current requirements were installed within the  extension works in 2009 and 2012. The proposed and recommended works are fo r the total replacement of the existing piped system of distribution which essentially  comprises of single piped circuits within the original school, in order to  upgrade to requirements in accordance with the current T.G.D’s.  The area of the existing school, excluding the classroom extension of 2009 & 2012  is approximately 920 m2. As part of the proposed works the existing system of pipe distribution would be replaced to meet current T.G.D. guidelines. Also, as part of th e said works new panel radiators and a new system of controls would be provided  as the installed surfaces in a number of the rooms do not meet requirements in ter ms of comfort levels.It was noted that sections of pipework are carried undergroun d. A new space heating boiler was installed in recent years as part of extension wo rks.Remedial/ongoing works have only been carried out to the existing system of di stribution where leaking radiator valves have been replaced over the years. No oth er works to this system have been carried out since installation. The existing pipew ork system is a single pipe loop, for the most, and doesn’t lend itself to individual co ntrols in accordance with current T.G.D’s.As part of the said works new panel radia tors are also to be provided. The existing space heating boiler which was installed i n recent years would be retained. A new system of controls would also be provided .The existing pipework system is a single pipe loop, for the most, and doesn’t lend it self to individual controls.
