The objective for An Garda Síochána in undertaking this procurement process is to ensure the most economical, efficient and environmentally friendly Towing and Management Service is in place within the Cork City, Cork North and Cork West Divisions in addition to improving the quality of service. This competition will be award on the basis of lots – details are as follows LOT – 1 CORK CITY DIVISION: LOT – 2 CORK NORTH DIVISIONS: LOT –3 CORK WEST DIVISIONS: The provision of a Towing and Management Service Contract for the recovery, storage, sale and disposal of vehicles, for receiving payment of fees and the management of the overall service in Cork City, Cork North and Cork West Divisions at the request of An Garda Síochána. Vehicles will be those which are involved in: seized vehicles traffic collisions crime - where a vehicle has to be towed to the contractors premises or a location designated by a member of An Garda Síochána for technical examination or safe keeping. Vehicles can be badly damaged and may have to be lifted or may be located in ditches, ravines, open spaces etc. A seized vehicle shall mean a vehicle which has been taken possession of by a member of An Garda Síochána for the carrying out of their official duties.
