The proposed works at Sean Healy Park comprises of new footpaths, hard paved areas and widening of the Blueway including associated landscaping and services/utilities to serve the proposed and future uses. The Suir Blueway will be extended to connect to North Quay to provide cycleway and pedestrian linkages from Sean Healy Park to Ormond Castle and the town centre. It is proposed to upgrade the Castle St. approach to Ormond Castle Park, undertake ecological and amenity improvements within Ormond Castle Park and develop Strand Walk. A new access from Strand Walk to Ormond Castle grounds is to be provided, new lighting along Strand Walk and repointing to Ormond Park Walls.
