Schools Energy Pathfinder Programme 2023-2024: Energy Efficiency Retrofit Works at Catherine McAuley Special School, Ashbourne Avenue, South Circular Road, Limerick

The Works comprise of energy efficiency retrofit works to a 1,738m2 School (GIFA). The Works are being undertaken to 2no buildings consisting of 1.) School building, including 10 no. classrooms, library, offices, reception and 2.) adjacent building (Training Block Unit) where new roof mounted photovoltaic panels are to be installed. The Energy project measures include new windows, doors and rooflights, roof insulation and roof finishes, pumped bonded bead insulation to cavity walls, external wall insulation systems, external rendering, air tightness measures, heat pumps, photovoltaic panels, gas boilers, mechanical ventilation heat recovery system, new control systems and energy monitoring.
