Macra Agricultural Skillnet provides part funded training to our members. We are procuring an organisation to develop course content and deliver the training course according to our Course specifications. We aim to train approx. 15 candidates in 2023. Tenders will be assessed on a number of criteria including value for money, demonstration of ability to develop suitable course content, demonstration of ability to deliver training, location / area served, Module Descriptors and Course content, availability of training facilities where applicable and reputation / experience. Organisations should be in a position, on awarding of a contract to supply Macra Agricultural Skillnet with a Tax Clearance Code and a copy of their Insurance. The provider will also be required to enter into a contract with the network to comply with our operating procedures.

A two-year part time and distance learning programme, which should aim to provide graduates the skills and knowledge to support farmers in business development and innovation. Course participants are intended to be working in roles with farmers such as technical sales, consultancy, advisory services, and education delivery and the course duration, delivery and material should be suitable. The programme can be both online and face to face where students complete modules and assignments.
The attached RFT includes more detailed information on the tender requirement. The successful tenderers will deliver training, and monitor and gather feedback from participants from August 2023 through to August 2024, subject to Skillnet Ireland funding and a performance review after 12 months. On completion of the 12 month contract, following review of performance and success measures, this initial term may be extended a further 24 months through to August 2026.
