The purpose of this review is to gather evidence regarding ATP practice in Ireland. This review will conduct secondary analysis of existing evidence generated by QQI and supplementary evidence from relevant agencies such as HEA, SOLAS and CAO. The review will generate case studies that will be supplementary to existing QQI ATP policy and procedures. The review may inform future ATP policy development by QQI in due course. The objectives of the review will be to: 1. Conduct quality and quantitative secondary analysis of existing QQI evidence including CINNTE reviews, inaugural ETB reviews and validation reports, and relevant available supplementary evidence, including multimedia and digital sources 2. Examine existing reports and sources presenting stakeholder perspectives regarding ATP and where possible, describing the challenges and benefits experienced by learners 3. Review national trends in ATP with reference to implementation, pathways and data tracking 4. Identify and provide examples of effective ATP practice and illustrative case studies relevant to the role of QQI 5. Summarise the strengths and weaknesses of existing ATP practice 6. Produce a comprehensive report on the above for publication
