DLH 23 001 - Cruise Ship Tender Escort Service

Dun Laoghaire Harbour is under the ownership and control of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. The Council propose to appoint a service provider to supply Escort RIB’s and one monitoring boat with personnel for the 2023 Cruise Ship Tendering scheduled months of April, May, June, July, August, September and October 2023, weather permitting. The Ribs and Monitoring boat will be in place to provide an escort service to cruise ship tenders carrying passengers from passenger ships in Dublin’s Anchorage to St. Michaels Pier - Passenger Pontoon in Dun Laoghaire Harbour. The goal is to ensure passenger safety, guiding each tender from ship to shore and back again and the provision of a safer water space for the benefit of all users. The successful tenderer will be required to cover the cruise schedule for 2023, 2024 with an option (subject to agreement) to extend for three additional twelve-month periods.
