The Local Government Sector (i.e.) the 31 Local Authorities, in partnership with the LGMA seeks to engage the services of an expert partner(s) to assist it with the creation and provision of a suite of specialised in-depth training for specific cohorts of Local Authority staff that are tasked with specific responsibilities when it comes to data protection. The number and range tutor led training courses in specialised activities associated with Data Protection that are being sought are as follows, • Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) • Responding to a Subject Access Request • Data Protection requirements for CCTV and other recording technologies • Developing records/logs of processing being carried out • Data agreements for project managers • Data Protection for Law Enforcement Functions • Data sharing in the public sector The training to be provided will build upon existing awareness training already provided to local authority staff since the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in May 2018.
