Cork ETB is seeking to purchase a Disposable (Single Use) Bioreactor. This Bioreactor is for use within a ‘mimic’ training facility that provides learners with the necessary skills to be technicians/operators within the life science sector. Disposable (Single use) bioreactors are widely used in the field of mammalian cell culture and are now rapidly replacing conventional bioreactors. Cells isolated from animal tissues or human cell lines can be expanded in culture for the production of virus vaccines, various therapeutic proteins and to generate functional cells or tissue analogues for regenerative medicine.
