MD TCFP - Consultancy Services to prepare: (i) a Town Centre First Plan for Milford, and (ii) a statutory planning scheme

Provision of Architect Led Full Integrated Design Team, PSDP and Masterplanning consultancy services to prepare: (i) a Town Centre First (“TCF”) Plan for Milford, and (ii) a statutory planning consent scheme for a selected priority project or projects which will emerge from the Town Centre First Plan. The TCF Plan is to be prepared in line with the new National Policy ‘Town Centre First – A Policy Approach for Irish Towns’ (“TCFAPA”). It is to be regeneration & renewal focused. It will put place-making at the centre of a value proposition for the town as a means of enabling and attracting investment and regeneration. It will consider key thematic areas including: dereliction & vacancy, housing, regeneration & opportunity sites. The TCF Plan will provide for the convergence of community vision, business interests, local knowledge and key Sectoral and Local Authority expertise in co-designing a roadmap for the regeneration and future development of Milford together with the more detailed design of actions in respect of key sites. The TCF Plan will develop to RIAI/RIBA Work Stage 2 concept design proposals for a suite of agreed regeneration, opportunity and future development sites (Minimum of 4). One or more (to be agreed) of these sites will then be developed to RIAI/RIBA Work Stage 3 and will result in the publication of a planning scheme for statutory consent. This project is funded through the Town and Village Renewal Fund programme and the 1st Phase of the Town Centre First Masterplan Initiative implemented by the Department of Rural and Community Development as a part of Our Rural Future.
