Galway City Council (GCC) is seeking the appointment of an experienced multi-disciplinary consultancy Team to prepare a Green Spaces Strategy . It will be required to be specific to Galway City, user friendly and highly visual. The document shall be a reference source for the delivery and management of green infrastructure in Galway City. The aim of the project is to develop a Green Spaces Strategy for Galway City for the period 2024-2034. The main objectives of the strategy are: • To provide a vision and direction for the future of the city’s green spaces in a planned cohesive manner; • Guide the location of new recreation & amenity facilities in collaboration with all stakeholders; • To strengthen the ecosystem services provided by the green network across the city in collaboration with all stakeholders; • Ensure that the interests of all users are considered; • Set out co-ordinated projects/priorities that will enhance and improve the quality of green and blue infrastructure for all inhabitants and the improve recreation provision of for all citizens of Galway City.
