19546 - HSE Response to the Ukraine crisis

The escalation of conflict in Ukraine has caused Europe's fastest-growing refugee crisis since 1940 with more than seven million Ukrainians fleeing the country and a third of the population displaced. They need protection and support. Many EU member states, Ireland included, has opened the door to refugees from Ukraine. In light of the emergency and the scale of humanitarian needs, Ukraine health response is carried out by HSE to provide the immediate health care including emergency medical care, providing access to essential healthcare services, medication, mental health, and psychosocial support, including for mothers and children, HIV and tuberculosis patients, and others in need.
