RFT for the supply of ICT Training Courses

An important part of the Department of Social Protection's (DSP) strategy is to use technology to achieve business objectives on its own behalf. Major strides have taken place in this regard particularly in recent years in relation to IT infrastructure, service provision and application development. It is important that the DSP assesses and enhances its capacity to meet the demands for development in the future and that DSP staff is equipped to face the challenges ahead. An upskilled workforce is required to enable staff to successfully work with the new Digital services being introduced to the department which customers are now required to use online. It is imperative to procure IT training in this area and other ICT areas as more new entrants are joining the department. It is a necessity to keep upskilling existing staff. This training is critical to keep the services ongoing. If staff are not fully upskilled, ICT projects can fail which will have an impact on our customers. It is important for staff to be able to deal with any ICT issues while also taking into account the ongoing cyber security threats. IT training will be an ongoing requirement and has been previously procured for a number of years with various entities. Procuring training services for IS Division staff includes training requirements identified in the annual PMDS process.
