KN Support Services - Programme Support Services for the safefood Knowledge Network

safefood’s responsibility for food safety promotion extends across the food chain from producers & processors to retailers and the final consumer. Achieving and maintaining the highest food safety standards is essential not only for public health protection, but also to maintain confidence in the food supply chain and to support the agri-food industry. The Knowledge Network (KN) programme was developed to support those working in food safety across the island of Ireland (IOI). It provides supports and services for people working in food production, processing, retail and catering, as well as those working to ensure regulatory compliance and to enhance food safety through research and education. The KN aims to encourage collaboration, knowledge-sharing and enhanced understanding between these professionals, supported by through events, briefings, workshops, newsletters and the Knowledge Network website, videos and webinars. safefood is tendering for programme support services, whereby a designated individual will be responsible for event logistics, KN promotion, uploads to the KN website, contributing to the KN newsletters and also acting as secretariat to the expert groups. The contract will be for three years with a formal review every 12 months.
