MonTOUR01 2022 - Landscape Architect Lead Design Team for Recreational Developments in Dartrey Forest, Rockcorry, Co Monaghan

Monaghan County Council intends to appoint a Design Team to provide designs for recreational enhancements in Dartrey Forest, Rockcorry, Co Monaghan. Monaghan County Council has had initial design proposals drawn up, has secured funding under the Outdoor Recreational Infrastructure Fund, and now wishes to progress this project which will add to the recreational infrastructure in the forest. The design team will be tasked with progressing these developments, the design of which must take into consideration the park's natural unspoiled green beauty and should include paths improvement, enhancements to the forest entrance, provision of a short boardwalk, enhanced picnic areas clearance to improve lake views, & signage etc The Design Team shall consist of suitably qualified personnel who must have experience in the following areas: - (1) Forest Park Design (2) Landscape Architecture (3) Quantity Surveying (4) Civil/Structural Engineering Where a team is made up of a number of consultancy firms, one firm shall be designated as the lead consultancy and this firm shall take full responsibility for delivering the project. It is envisaged that initially, the successful Design Team will be appointed by the Council to bring the project element to fully worked up design and specification stage. At this point the designs and performance specifications will be tendered to contractor(s) through an EU restricted procurement procedure which will also be overseen and managed by the Design Team. Contract supervision will also be required.
