The purpose of this pre-qualification questionnaire is to identify suitably qualified technology providers developing long duration storage technologies with the potential to cost effectively solve grid congestion and system integration challenges on a power system with up to 80% renewables (primarily wind energy). The ultimate aim / ambition of this process is the deployment of at least 500MW of 12-100hr storage on the Irish power system by 2030.
