University College Cork on behalf of the Tyndall Institute (and the Epitaxy and Physics of Nanostructures group) invites tenders for the provision of a Micro-photoluminescence cryogen free, low vibration superconducting magnet probe station at Tyndall National Institute, in support of its quantum technology and material/device development projects. The Epitaxy and Physics of Nanostructure group at Tyndall National Institute works on the optical properties of nanostructures (quantum dots). The Group would like to purchase a cryogenic probe station with magnetic field which would allow addressing (probe) individual nanostructures electrically (through appropriate patterned pads), while maintaining the possibility of sampling individual optical properties, i.e. collect efficiently the light emitted by a single quantum dot, for example.
