Supply of Pre-Cast Concrete Box Culverts for use as part of the Springfield Flood Relief Scheme.

The OPW’s invites you to submit a tender for the supply, design and delivery to site (but not installed), of pre-cast concrete culverts for use in the construction of the Springfield Flood Relief Scheme, Springfield, Clonlara, Co. Clare. Box culverts will be used to maintain flow through an earthen flood defence embankment, which will be constructed as part of the scheme. The culvert arrangement comprises of a low flow culvert and a high flow culvert which runs parallel along the Illaunyreagn stream. The low flow culvert shall be a 3.2m wide by 2.7m high proprietary precast concrete culvert and shall be placed at the lines and levels as shown in the design drawings. The high flow culvert shall be a 3.2m wide by 2.35m high proprietary precast concrete culvert. Culverts will accommodate a headwall and non-return valves on their downstream face.
