2111 Heating Upgrade - Saint Michael's National School Limerick - Heating Upgrade

The scope of the works for the mechanical (heating) upgrade includes the following: a) De-commissioning, Isolation, drain down, removal and disposal of the redundant heating distribution system and associated services to a licenced waste facility. (Note the packaged boiler and heating pump are a recent upgrade and will be retained) b) Replacement of the plant room pipe work, valves, and actuators and controls (existing pumps and air dirt separator to be retained) c) New boiler room control panel and controls d) New pressurisation unit and auto fill system e) Upgrade of the heating distribution services including new 2 pipe system generally run in the attics, radiators and associated heating controls to provide individual heating zones for classrooms f) Electrical works associated with the upgrade of the heating system and controls. g) Testing & commissioning of the upgraded mechanical services. h) All builders work and redecoration associated with mechanical upgrade including protection of existing school finishes from damage during the upgrade works. i) Full contract deep clean and sanitising of the entire school building prior to handover. j) Maintenance during the 12 months defects period. The Mechanical Contractor shall supply all labour, materials, equipment and engineering services, and perform all works necessary to install the complete, tested, commissioned, and operational mechanical systems in accordance with the Specification and Drawings.
