St. Clement’s College is a Roman Catholic secondary school for boys close to the city centre, under the trusteeship of the Redemptorists. A new, fully equipped school building was opened in 2008 adjacent to the original school. Enrolment currently stands at 481 students. As well as the Junior Cycle and a compulsory Transition Year (TY), the school offers all senior-cycle programmes. In 2016 the school opened its first special class (ASD Unit) to cater for students with autistic spectrum disorders. Due to increased demand for ASD Units in the Limerick region, a second unit was opened in 2020. The accommodation available for these units is not fit for purpose so the NCSE (National Council for Special Education) has sanction an extension for a three base SEN Unit The Brief for the project is to design and procure additional accommodation for the school as set out in the Schedule of Accommodation in Appendix A
