Historian Services - Irish Lights are looking for a historian to collaborate with on an ongoing basis to develop stories, create lectures and prepare material for exhibition and/or publication.

Historian Services to support Irish Lights. Irish Lights plan to develop one outreach project per year for the next three years based on Collections held in the Archive. We are looking for a historian to collaborate with on an ongoing basis to develop stories, create lectures and prepare material for exhibition and/or publication. Raising awareness and the promotion of Irish Lights’ Heritage will be crucial to the projects. Equally critical will be reaching and engaging with a wide audience The projects will be on a phased basis, one project per year for three years. Expected output for each project will be the development of two lectures and preparation of one exhibition (digital or physical) and or Irish Lights publication per year. The successful candidate will be required to carry out much of their work on site at Irish Lights headquarters in Dun Laoghaire, and potentially a number of visits to the Baily Lighthouse in Howth.
