7717 - Supply of Graffiti Removal Chemicals

SUPPLY OF GRAFFITI REMOVAL CHEMICALS [7717] IÉ recently concluded a market consultation with companies experienced in the field of graffiti removal on rolling stock. The objective of the market consultation was to identify products and processes which would lower the overall cost base to IÉ for removing the graffiti and increasing the overall availability of IÉ’s rolling stock fleets for passenger service. This market consultation was facilitated by the advertisement of a Prior Information Notice [PIN] via eTenders, following which IÉ received a number of high-quality submissions from market leaders in the supply of graffiti removal products. Scope of Works: Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) operate a number of rolling stock fleets including Locomotives, Diesel Multiple Units (DMU’s), Electric Multiple Units (EMU’s), Carriages and Freight, and IÉ now invites suitably qualified companies to participate in a tender process for the Supply of Graffiti Removal Chemicals into the Rail Industry, for use by IÉ as their fleets are frequently damaged due to graffiti and tagging at various maintenance locations nationwide. The supply agreement will cover the supply of graffiti removal chemicals, and after treatment neutralising chemicals, with IÉ’s approach being to compare the efficacy of the following options. i. The use of graffiti removal chemical products only; or ii. The use of graffiti removal chemical products used in conjunction with exterior coating products. IÉ are looking for a single company to supply our full product requirements and to also provide technical support to all of IÉ’s maintenance depots nationwide to ensure that the selected products are utilised and consumed in accordance with the technical data sheets and manufacturers recommendations.
