7622 - The Operational and Maintenance Management of EV Charging Points

Iarnród Éireann are seeking to engage a third party company to provide end-to-end operation and maintenance services of EV taxi chargers at stations including full customer support. The Charge Point Management System will be a managed contactless service that provides appropriate authentication, card payment options and portal access for consumers. The solution will have strong payment card data security, GDPR compliance and reliable bank reconciliation with Iarnród Éireann. The solution must also provide a full support and maintenance service for the EV chargers this in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines including a call-out service. The present scope is for 6 Nr. rapid chargers at 3 Nr. locations The State’s Climate Action Plan contains an ambitious target of 936,000 electric vehicles (EVs) by 2030 and Irish Rail stations have been identified as being key to the delivery of this given the prominent location of train stations in our main cities and towns. The system must be capable of being scaled up to meet future EV charging requirements at other locations in the Iarnród Éireann network (both for taxis and members of the travelling public)
