Ireland's Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht (DCHG) is seeking to develop a policy document which will set out, for the benefit of key stakeholders and members of the public, the Department’s obligations as lead authority for World Heritage in Ireland. The DCHG wishes to engage the services of an expert in World Heritage policy to draft an initial policy document, to be finalised in consultation with the Department and to eventually function as a public document. As part of the contract, the expert would also be requested to make recommendations to the Department as to how existing capacity can be optimised in order to best correspond to implementation of the World Heritage Convention.
