CCC/054/20 - Southern Distributor Link Road Route Selection

The services sought require multi-disciplinary engineering and other specialist consultancy services, consisting of all services necessary or desirable for the purposeful delivery of Phases 1-2 as per the National Transport Authority's Guidelines for the Management of Public Transport Investment and Cost Management Guidelines and Phases 0-1 of the Departments of Public Expenditure an Reform’s Public Spending Code 2019 in line with the Department of Transport Tourism and Sports’ Common Appraisal Framework for Transport Projects and Programmes including, but not limited to, the non-exhaustive list of specific services set out in this document. The project aims to: 1. Progress the Southern Distributor Link Road through Phases 1 and 2 of the project as set out in the National Transport Authority's Project Management and Cost Management Guidelines and Phases 0-1 of the Departments of Public Expenditure an Reform’s Public Spending Code 2019. 2. Carry out the Options Appraisal Process to select a preferred route for the Southern Distributor Link Road with emphasis on sustainable transport infrastructure. 3. Identify the preferred route for the proposed road thereby providing certainty with regard to the planned development of adjoining areas. 4. Provide an estimate of the likely overall cost of the scheme to inform the next phase/s of its delivery. 5. Provide a Project Execution Plan to provide for the full provision of the proposed road and its associated works.
