7461 - Maintenance of Defective Air Conditioning Units

Iarnród Éireann (I.É) has a requirement for contract support to manage multiple air-conditioning units across various geographical locations on the company’s network. The locations cited within this tender are the responsibility of the Telecoms Maintenance Manager and fall primarily within the remit of the Telecoms department (SET), with headquarters in Inchicore, Dublin 8. Telecoms currently operates across 4 distinct business unit cost centres, with primary bases at Inchicore, Limerick Jctn, Athlone and CTC Connolly. The Telecoms department currently operates 212 air-conditioning units at various locations throughout the I.É network, with potential for controlled future expansion and/or alteration. All contract support requirements will be prescheduled, with the exception of fault repair which will be on a 24/7 basis or as otherwise determined by the local I.É contact. Units are typically located at Telecoms Equipment Rooms (TER) positioned at distinct locations within the business unit cost centres. These facilities typically house vital I.É equipment that require temperature controlled operating environments. Existing units are typically of the single mini-split ductless type system and are generally Mitsubishi units.
