The Department of the Taoiseach invites responses (“Tenders”) to the Request for the supply of Provision of the Irish Language Services for the Citizens’ Assembly Meetings. Requirements and specifications (a) There is a requirement to provide Irish Language services at all meetings of the Citizens’ Assembly. All speeches from the podium should be translated, as should any contributions from the floor. The translation services should also be of a standard which would allow simultaneous translation from English to Irish and vice versa. (b) Service provider will be required to translate all written material (e.g. ballot papers, written submissions) on site at the Assembly as required. (c) In order to adequately provide simultaneous interpretation, it is anticipated that the Service provider will provide up to 50 headsets for the Launch and up to 30 headsets for each subsequent plenary meeting. The Service provider should have the capacity to scale up the number of headsets for each session if required. (d) A technician to install and test all equipment prior to the meetings, monitor all equipment during the meetings and to remove equipment after each meeting. (e) A full size ISPO-approved interpretation booth to be installed for every meeting. (f) Service provider will be required to translate all documents added to the Assembly’s website. (g) Service provider will be required to translate all written reports for the Assembly as required.
