The Arts Council is the Irish government agency for developing and funding the arts in Ireland. Our work is driven by our ten-year strategy, Making Great Art Work (2016 – 2025) which sets out our long-term vision for the arts and identifies our on-going priorities and goals. With our new strategy in place, we have identified the need for a new technology solution to transform our current processes and business systems, which were implemented between 2008 and 2010, to become a more data-driven organisation. This will affect all aspects of our business from the administration of funding to the arts sector, strategy development, and the implementation of advocacy across multiple media channels. The ICT Business Transformation Programme is expected to run for eighteen months and to deliver new business systems which will have a ten-year lifespan. As part of the programme a Business Analyst is required to support the Arts Council deliver new systems to fulfill the Council’s business goals that are fit-for-purpose and support efficient working practices for end-users and streamline post-implementation system administration.
