Detailed description:

The supply and delivery of suitable material to be used in the construction of earthen flood defence embankments at Flood Cell 1 (Deerpark) and Flood Cell 5 (Marine View) on the Athlone Flood Alleviation Scheme. Material suitable for the construction of a homogenous earthen embankment. The material shall be an impermeable fine-grained cohesive soil, with a suitable moisture content that shall be capable of reasonable compaction. No rocks greater than 75mm in size shall be permitted in the soil. No organic material will be accepted.
