The scope of work for the Electrical Upgrade & Building Refurbishment Emergency Works Project includes as follows:- a) Complete strip out of the redundant electrical services and wiring installations b) Upgrade the Main Distribution Board c) New Electrical Wiring Installation & Full Containment Systems with attic and surface run steel trunking and conduit and tray systems d) New General Service & Equipment Power Systems e) New General Lighting System with energy saving automatic controls f) New Emergency & Escape Lighting System to IS3217:2013 & A1 2017 g) New External Security Lighting System with automatic controls h) New ICT Structured Wiring System i) New Fire Alarm System to IS 3217 2013 j) Access Controls and Intercom System k) New Intruder Alarm & CCTV System l) Disabled Toilet Alarm System m) Re-instatement of ceilings and attic insulation. (Note - existing ceilings contained asbestos and are being removed under a separate specialist asbestos removal contract) n) Re-instatement of floor coverings throughout the school o) Upgrade of some built-in furniture to classrooms p) All associated builders works, opening up, making good and re-decoration q) Maintenance for year 1 (during defects liability period) r) Full contract clean of the entire school building prior to handover s) Maintenance of the new installations for the defects liability period (12 months)
