2B Climbing Ltd. - New Bouldering/Climbing Facility

The design, supply and installation of climbing/bouldering walls in a warehouse of 402m2. To include top rope/lead climbing of 10 - 12 lines (to include 3 auto belays one of which is to be a speed climbing auto belay) with a variety of angles of up to 30 degrees. All lines must be lead compatible. The climbing wall should include at least one corner. Apart from this the build should be predominantly bouldering walls of mixed terrain to include overhangs, caves, slabs, vertical etc. The bouldering must meet minimum height standards for European bouldering competitions. All surfaces should NOT imitate natural rock in appearance and texture. Also required will be all necessary matting, anchors, chains, volumes, holds, bolts, place nuts etc. We are interested in a design that will make the best use of the warehouse space in an interesting way. This tender request is subject to receiving planning permission for change of use of unit and to receiving public funding from Waterford Leader Partnership.
