ENQEIR657 - Data Visualisation and Reporting Tool and Implementation and Development Services

In 2018, EirGrid implemented on on-premises version of Looker (https://looker.com/) as a pilot project to automate the creation of a number of reports relating to the operation of I-SEM (Integrated Single Electricity Market – see https://www.sem-o.com/ and https://www.semopx.com/ ). Data is being extracted from a number of operational systems and stored in an Oracle-based star schema data warehouse from which reports and dashboards are created. The purpose of this PQQ and the subsequent tender is to acquire a data visualisation and reporting tool that will meet the long-term and enterprise-wide requirements of EirGrid. EirGrid has two related requirements: 1. An enterprise-wide data visualisation, reporting and dashboard creation toolset that will be installed on EirGrid internal information technology infrastructure, including software assurance, maintenance and support services for that toolset. EirGrid is looking for a single toolset that can be used for all data visualisation purposes across the entire organisation including Market Operations, Planning, Grid Development and Interconnection, External Affairs, HR and Finance. 2. The provision of consulting services to implement the toolset, its installation, implementation and configuration to enable its effective and efficient use, provision of assistance with the development of reports and dashboards, provision of training and other visualisation toolset implementation-related work. These services will include implementing the reports currently developed in Looker in the long-term toolset. EirGrid intends to establish a single supplier framework for the services contained this PQQ. The Framework Agreement period will be for an initial duration of two years with the option to extend annually for up to an additional six years, subject always to the satisfactory performance of the supplier.
