7223 - Taxi Services Dublin

IÉ has a requirement for a taxi service provider to meet with IE’s planned and unplanned (emergency) requirements within the greater Dublin area. Taxis requirements may be short notice and in some instances the taxi may be required to facilitate a passenger to needs to catch a connecting mode of transport e.g. a flight / ferry. The intention is to Award a Contract for a period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further 1 year subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. Over a 2 year period Irish Rail called upon a service provider for taxi requirements for over 4000 jobs to be carried out. Of these 4000 jobs there was approximately 30 instances where 3 or more taxis were required at the same time. Requirements can range from 1 to 5 taxis depending on the nature of the requirement e.g. in instances where a train failure occurs transport for passengers may be required. Transport is typically required when – • A Train Failure occurs • A passenger has been over carried due to a technical fault • Emergency transport cover is required • In the course of planned business requirements The core services required under this process are for a suitably qualified company to provide transport from stations & other work areas for Irish Rail staff & customers. Applicants should be capable of providing; • A Management system for a contract of this size for account implementation & creation, • Required billing arrangements for invoicing
