RFI Cloud-based Accounting Software

The Citizens Information Board is the statutory body which supports the provision of information, advice and advocacy on a broad range of public and social services. The Board was established as a statutory body under the Comhairle Act 2000, as amended by the Citizens Information Act 2007 and the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2008. The Citizens Information Board funds a range of Companies Limited by Guarantee to provide services to members of the public. These companies were restructured in 2018, so that there are 21 companies funded by the Citizens Information Board in 2019. Pre-restructuring there were a variety of accounting packages in the funded companies. Post-restructuring, as a result of the liquidation of the now restructured companies, there is currently no automated solution in place. The Citizens Information Board is seeking information from providers of cloud- based accounting software packages that have a track record in providing secure GDPR compliant cloud based accounting software packages. The purpose of this Request for Information is to assist the Citizens Information Board in clarifying its requirements and evaluating potential options for such cloud-based services.
